A.  PEMAKAIAN

Present Perfect Continues Tense di gunakan untuk menerangkan peristiwa yang telah terjadi dan masih sedang berlangsung.

B.  STRUKTUR KALIMAT

Dalam menyusun kalimat Present Perfect Continues Tense, kita menggunakan infinitive dengan akhiran –ing setelah have/has been. Dalam kalimat ini biasanya di sertakan beberapa keterangan waktu, seperti since, for, all day and all night.

Subject+have/has been+ Invinitive+-ing+object

Example:

1.    I have been sitting here since eleven o’clock

2.    You have been writing since morning

3.    We have been cutting the grass since eight o’clock

4.    They have been waiting for Helen since last night

5.    He has been travelling since yesterday

6.    Mr. Hansen has been living in Boston since 1977

7.    Peter has been working in a Bank  since January

8.    Martin has been teasing Carolina since dinner

9.    The children have been watching television since eight o’clock

10.    She has been standing there for an hour

11.    Janet has been reading for two hours
